The Rector of Newcastle-under-Lyme, St Giles with St Thomas Butterton
Joshua Penduck has been a Rector of Newcastle-under-Lyme, St Giles with St Thomas, Butterton since October 2019. He trained at Cranmer Hall, St John’s College, Durham, before being ordained deacon in 2014, and priest in 2015. He served his first curacy in St Chad’s, Lichfield. In 2017, he moved to St Giles with St Thomas for his second curacy, where he would later on be installed as Rector. He is married to Shelley, who is Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s Burslem. Before becoming a minister, he was a musician, with a focus on composition. He has a love of reading, in particular theology, as well as music, film, poetry, art, travelling, and roller coasters.
