Rainbows is for small babies, toddlers and young children up until they start school. It meets in the Church Hall (which is found inside St Giles’ CHurch) every Wednesday morning during school term time. The aim is to provde a relaxed environment for parents, grandparents and carers with tea, coffee, toast and biscuits. There is a wide selection of toys for the chidlren to play with. There is normally some singing of nursery rhymes for a short period near the end of the session. Rainbows is open 9.00 – 11.30 a.m.
Children are always welcome at St Giles. Normally there are Sunday Clubs activities for them during the 10.30 a.m. service. These activities cover 3- 15 year olds in different groups that take place in our church halls with a team of experienced leaders. The children are in church for the very first part of the service before they go out to their clubs. They then return into church for the last part of the service. On the Second Sunday of the month there is an all age service – this is a shorter and livelier service and the children stay in church for the whole service.
At our 10.30 a.m. Sunday morning service we provide a creche in the hall at the back of church. This is for under 3s and the creche can be used for part or all of the service. On the Second Sunday of the month there is no creche, instead there is an all age service at 10.30 a.m. – this is a shorter and livelier service and the children stay in church for the whole service.
