We’re delighted that you are thinking about getting married in St Giles – it’s a beautiful setting for this most special occasion. You are entitled to be married at St Giles:
- If you or your intended spouse or one of your parents lives in the parish, or have at any time lived in the parish for a period of at least six months;
- If you were baptised or prepared for confirmation in the parish;
- If your parents or grandparents were married in the parish;
- If you or your parents have regularly attended St Giles for a period of at least six months.
If none of the connections apply, it may still be possible to get married at church – especially if there is enough time before your wedding for you to regularly attend services at St Giles for a period of at least six months.
We do consider remarriage in church of those who are divorced, but this will not be possible in all circumstances.
For details, please contact the Rector, the Rev Robert Daborn, by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 01782 616397.
